How do I get there?

Accepted Answer

The Basílica de San Miguel where the ceremony will take place is located in the heart of Madrid, with public transport getting you there (Metro La Latina L5, Opera L2 or Bus 3, 17, 18, 23). 
Our personal recommendation if you are not staying walking distance from the church is to grab a taxi.

La Casa de Mónico where the reception will take place is in Aravaca. You can drive or taxi there, but buses will also be provided from the church to the venue.

What is the dress code?

This is a formal event. Men are expected to wear a suit, and women a formal dress.
As the ceremony is religious and will take place in the morning, we kindly ask guests to dress accordingly. This typically means keeping shoulders covered and opting for dresses that are not floor-length.

What if I have an allergy?

If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know when you submit your RSVP so we can make the appropriate arrangements with the catering team.

What if I want to drive?

If you plan to drive, please note that La Casa de Mónico offers on-site parking. However, the church does not have parking available, so you will need to use nearby public parking, which may incur a fee.

Where can I stay?

If you are looking for accommodation in Madrid, we recommend staying in different areas close to the church, as there are many great options depending on the type of stay you are looking for (from central, lively areas to quieter, more residential neighborhoods).
Some of the most convenient areas include the city centre (Sol, Gran Vía, Malasaña, Chueca and Barrio de las Letras), which are well connected and offer plenty of hotels, boutique stays and apartments. Chamberí is also a great option, being slightly quieter but still very close to the church and the centre.

If you are planning to arrive in Madrid a few days before the wedding, we would love to see you. Please feel free to get in touch with us so we can arrange to meet up during the week if possible.
